Candle Magick

Candle magick is the most easiest form of them all, it can be used with all 
other magicks. It is the most oldest magick of them all. All spells with candle magick 
will have you use a specific color, which comes to the color magick. It is best to let the 
flame go out by itself so the energies in the smoke don't get scattered.

Kinds of Candles

Candles can be store bought or made by the practitioner. 

Store bought candles don't have the practitioner's energy 

but they are still powerful. Beeswax candles are also a 

good source of magick because they have been made 

by nature.

Cleansing a Candle

Cleansing a candle is always a good idea but doesn't 

always have to be done or isn't always done. To clear 

it of all its energies is quite easy, just put the candle in 

sea salt and ask the Gods and Goddesses to bless it. 

If you know what spell or ritual you are doing 

beforehand it is good to ask the certain God and 

Goddess to bless that corresponds with it.

Anointing a Candle

Anointing or dressing a candle isn't always done, like 

cleansing, it is done when the spell or ritual calls for it 

or if the practitioner thinks its best. Use an oil that is 

specific to the spell or what the spell wants you to use. 

To gain or attract something always rub the oil onto the 

candle in a downward motion. To lose, banish, or repel 

something always rub the oil upwards.

Inscribing a Candle

Inscribing a candle isn't necessary but it is always good to do. 

Sometimes when a spell or ritual calls for it, it is a must do. 

To inscribe a candle you would use your boline, if you don't have 

a boline you would use your athame. To inscribe  it to gain or 

attract something write downwards if possible. To lose banish 

or repel write upwards if possible.

Candle Coloring

It is always best to use the color correspondence when using a 

candle, like if the spell or ritual is about love you would use 

a red candle, or it if is about sleep you would use a blue candle. 

If a spell or ritual calls for a specific colored candle already, it is 

good to use another one that has the same properties but maybe 

in a different color to make the spell a bit more powerful.
