The Pentagram

The pentagram is a five pointed star that represent the five elements (Spirit, Water, Fire, Earth, and Air). The circle around a pentagram is a pentacle, which means eternity and infinity, it is used mostly for rituals. Having the pentacle touching all five points of the pentagram indicates that they are all connected. The first element is Spirit which is the top point, it symbolizes the Divine and the All. Spirit has three colors to represent it purple, black, and white. The upper right point is Water which symbolizes emotions and intuition. The color that represents Water is blue. The lower right is Fire, that symbolizes courage, philosophy, and daring. The color of Fire is red. The lower left point is made up of Earth, this point symbolizes stability and physical endurance. The color for this element is green. Lastly the upper left point is Air in which it symbolizes intelligence and the arts. The color that represents Air is yellow. The Spirit elements controls all of the four earthly elements. It stands for Spirit ruling the world of matter, life, health, protection, and a human being as a microcosm of the universe. The 5 points can also mean the 5 senses, stages of life, or state of consciousness. Small ones of silver are amulets for witches. On a disc of wood or metal it is the witches pentacle, a tool for earth. The inverted pentagram is represented to Satan and Chaos, which is used mostly for black magic.
