Casting and Closing a Circle

Casting a Circle

There are plenty of ways to cast a circle simple ones
or ones that take more time. It is always better to cast
a circle before doing a spell because it keeps all energies
in check and gives you a boost. It is also good for
protection so no bad energy or mojo gets into the circle
to fail or mislead your spell. It is the best way to ensure
that the spell will not backfire. Too cast a circle you can
use a wand, a athame, or your finger.

Way #1:
Cleanse your thoughts and energies. Face North and point your wand, athame, or finger to the ground, then picture a glowing purple light as the energy flowing through your wand, athame, or finger. Turn clockwise in the middle of the circle that you are invisioning until the circle is fully formed with the purple energy.

Way #2:
Clear the area where you will cast the circle, sweep the area with your left to right with your broom. Take your wand, athame, or finger and face North. Turn clockwise inside your circle with your wand, athame, or finger pointing to the floor invisioning purple energy coming from the instrument you use. As you are making your circle be sure to chant "Witches sight and magick will, Draw this circle of power fill. Magicks both new and old, Gather now into the fold. This witches circle, though none can see,  Is rightly case so mote it be."

Closing a Circle

Closing a circle is not always done but is a good
idea to ensure the magick is basically bound and
will be untampered with.

Way #1:
Pick up your wand, athame, or finger and face at which point you have started the circle. Point your instrument at the circle turn counter clockwise and invision the purple energy disappearing or getting sucked back into your instrument until you complete the circle. When you are finished thank the Goddesses and God if wanted and then chant, "The circle is open but unbroken."
